Psst for Google Workspace admins
How to install Psst across a whole Google Workspace domain from the Admin console and build your Psst team by inviting people by email. This is the summary; the full step-by-step guide is in Spanish.
Psst works with Google Meet, but it is not a Google product and is not affiliated with Google.
- Requirements: admin.google.com with Chrome admin rights; policies reaching the browsers (users signed in to Chrome with "apply all user policies", browsers enrolled in Chrome Enterprise Core, or managed ChromeOS); Chrome 116+.
- Force install: Devices → Chrome → Apps & extensions → Users & browsers → pick the OU → yellow +
→ Add Chrome app or extension by ID → Psst's ID (
ckopbanemnoojkdfhkckdmhdkgfodccf), From the Chrome Web Store → Save → Installation policy Force install + pin to browser toolbar (or Force install). Works for the unlisted listing too. Without the Admin console:ExtensionInstallForcelist=ckopbanemnoojkdfhkckdmhdkgfodccf;https://clients2.google.com/service/update2/crx. Each person still signs in once. Allowmeet.google.com,accounts.google.comandapi.psst.teamin URL restrictions, and mark Psst's OAuth app as trusted in API controls if unconfigured third-party apps are blocked. - Extension policy: none. Psst reads no managed Chrome policy, and during the beta there are no team settings in the dashboard either (defaults apply; each person tunes theirs in the extension).
- Build the team: https://psst.team → sign in → Your team → type a teammate's email, pick the role (member by default, or admin) → Add. The first email creates the team and makes you its admin; each person gets a one-time link (valid 7 days), signs in with that Google account and accepts. Admins can resend or cancel invitations, remove people and make admin / make member; a team always keeps at least one admin. Everyone is on one team only: someone already on another team must leave it first (Leave my team, also in the account menu, top right). Joining by domain is not available during the beta, which is free.
