Terms of service
Last updated: October 20, 2026
These terms govern the use of Psst: the Chrome extension, the web panel and the API. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you accept them on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.
1. Who provides the service
Psst is operated by Blue Pineapple Ocean Corp, a company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands, with its registered office at Casablanca House, Luck Hill, Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. Contact: help@psst.team.
We may transfer the operation of the service to another company that continues it (for example, a company of the same group). If that happens, we email you at least 30 days in advance and these terms keep applying unchanged, except for the operator's name.
2. The service
Psst lets members of the same workspace send each other short, private, ephemeral messages during Google Meet meetings, shown only to the recipient over the sender's camera tile. Psst works with Google Meet but is not a Google product and is not endorsed by Google.
The service is in beta: it may change, have outages or lose features. Do not rely on it as the only channel for critical communication.
3. Accounts and workspaces
- You sign in with your Google account and are responsible for what happens with your account and devices.
- Whoever creates a workspace is its owner. The owner and admins manage members, invitations, the enabled domain, quick messages and the workspace policy, and can remove members.
- The owner is responsible for making sure members use the workspace in line with these terms.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use Psst for:
- Academic fraud: giving or receiving answers during exams, assessments or certifications.
- Covert assistance to the person being evaluated: for example, helping a candidate during their own job interview, or anyone in a situation where they are expected to act alone. Interviewers on the same team may coordinate among themselves.
- Harassment, threats, discrimination or unwanted messages to other members.
- Surveillance: monitoring people without their knowledge, or using presence to find out which meetings someone is in.
- Deceiving the other side of a meeting to harm them (scams, fraud) or any illegal activity.
- Trying to break the security, encryption or limits of the service, reverse engineering it for that purpose, or automating bulk sending.
5. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close accounts or workspaces that violate these terms or put other people or the service at risk, with notice when reasonable. You can stop using Psst and delete your account at any time from the panel.
6. Plans and payments
- There is a free plan with limits and a paid per-seat plan. Current prices and limits are shown in the panel.
- A seat is an active member of the workspace. Payments are processed by Stripe and include applicable taxes.
- If a payment fails there is a 7-day grace period; after that the workspace returns to the free plan limits and members above the limit become pending.
7. Privacy and the limits of encryption
Data processing is described in the Privacy policy. Messages are end-to-end encrypted and never stored.
Limits you accept by using the service: the server distributes the devices' public keys, so a compromised server could substitute them (there is no key fingerprint verification yet); Psst cannot detect screen sharing from an application other than Meet (use Alt+Shift+P); and system notifications, if you turn them on, may appear over a shared screen.
8. Your content
What you write is yours and you are responsible for it. We neither see nor store it, so we cannot recover it.
9. Warranties and liability
The service is provided “as is”, with no warranty of availability or of working with every version of Google Meet. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before the claim. [Pending legal review.]
10. Changes
If we change these terms in a material way, we will tell you by email or in the panel before they take effect. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept them.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the British Virgin Islands and any dispute is submitted to its courts, without prejudice to the consumer rights the law of your country grants you. For questions or abuse reports write to help@psst.team.
